Real Life Anger Doll to Hit the Market

"Poke Dummy" will be available in time for Christmas

(SNN) – California based family counselling organization, Caricon Center, has released a couple's relationship aid designed to stop domestic violence. Dubbed the “Poke Dummy”, it is a life-sized human mannequin that couples can poke, argue, and yell at in place of each other. “The goal is to provide a 'dummy' that can be a stand-in for the angst couples feel for each other from time to time.”

According to a recent study, couples that have a dummy in the house tend to be more docile with each other, which in turn reduces domestic violence.

Caricon Center's first foray into social engineering was in 1992 when they introduced a very successful brochure pointing out the dangers of racism. Their brochure, titled “Stop Labelling”, was responsible for promoting political correctness in the workplace, a practice that took roots and has been adopted throughout North America. “Now with “Poke Dummy” we are taking stop labelling to new levels,” stated Caricon CEO Mammy DeShawn.

“In keeping with the 'no labeling' philosophy, Poke Dummy only comes in one color,” advised Deshawn, “white!” According to Caricon “.... we do not want people to be yelling at people of race,” informs the marketing materials. “People of no color are seen as having no race and therefore are not subject to racism.”

Realistic in every respect and made of soft materials to mimic human skin, “Poke Dummy” is designed to recreate the appearance, texture, and weight of the full sized non-racial person. Their primary function is to serve as targets of anger. As noted in the Caricon marketing materials, “This activity can be accompanied by certain preparations such as dressing them up in different types of clothing, changing wigs or makeup, and even adjusting body temperature by use of electric blankets or baths. Batteries not included.”
