Move Over Cruise, for BANG BANG's Hrithik Roshan

Bollywood Remake of "Knight and Day" Proving Superior

(SNN) - Move over Tom Cruise, Bollywood heartthrob, Hrithik Roshan, is showing you how it is really done. Rosham has hit the big screen in India in the official Bollywood remake of “Knight and Day”.

“Knight and Day” starred Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz, and unlikely pairing as they were, the movie grossed $261,930,436 at the box office, just over twice the amount it cost to produce.

As for Bollywood, the remake titled “BANG BANG”, starring Hrithik Roshan and the Indian hottie, Katrina Kaif, has already earned over 265 Crores ($53 Million USD) in just the first four days of opening. The movie has all the rush of ditched planes, car chases, shoot-outs, bombing raids and general global mayhem of a Hollywood blockbuster. In addition, movie buffs will be treated to the first ever fly-boarding stunt of any Bollywood or Hollywood film.

In response to the strong opening and accolades, Director Siddharth Anand commented, “It is a complete masala movie and we made it with the intention to entertain everyone.”

In light of the lack-lustre reception “Knight and Day” received from movie critics, “BANG BANG has the opportunity to make its own way with North American film buffs. So far, BANG BANG has garnered the position in the top five opening movies in the history of Bollywood - a feat the film achieved in the first day of its release.

BANG BANG is showing in select theatres in Canada.
