Actor Stephen Collins Dropped By Agent Amid Molestation Allegations

(SNN) - Actor, Writer, Director and Musician Stephen Collins was dropped by his talent agency, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Collins, a fan favourite, best known as Rev. Eric Camden in the eleven season run of the TV series, "7th Heaven", came under allegations of child molestation.

Allegations, which were reported by CBS News, surfaced with an audio recording of Collins admitting to child molestation during a therapy session. Stephen Collins has already been cut from Seth MacFarlane's "Ted 2", and scenes from an upcoming episode of “Scandal” will not be used.

An official complaint has been received by the NYPD, Manhattan Special Victims Squad. Revelation from the recording appears to have Collins admit to several incidents of child molestation that happened years ago, but authorities believe they may still have a case for prosecution.

Collins was represented by the Agency for the Performing Arts for five years.
