Paul Simon and wife Edie Brickell Arrested for Disorderly Conduct

(SNN) - According to a report from the New Canaan Police in Connecticut, singers Paul Simon and his wife Edie Brickell, were arrested over the weekend for disorderly conduct.

Sources report that the police were called to the couple's home at approximately 8:00 PM in the evening responding to a complaint of a domestic dispute.

According to police chief Leon Krolikowski, the initial call came from the singer's home, but said that the caller hung up. An investigation revealed some minor injuries which were believed to be caused by domestic violence. Police did not disclose who sustained the injuries.

Simon and his wife, Brickell, were both arrested on disorderly conduct charges, according to Connecticut police. The couple, who have been married for more than 20 years, appeared in Norwalk Superior Court on Monday.

Simon, a 12 time Grammy Award winner, and Brickell, who is famous for the 1988 song, “What I Am”, have not commented on the incident.
