World Recoils In Horror as George P Bush Wins Nomination

(SNN) - World leaders expressed shock and dismay as another George Bush kicked off a political career with a win as big as the State of Texas. The grandson of George H, nephew of George W, and son of former Florida Governor Jeb, George P has secured the Republican nomination for the position of Texas Land Commissioner and is a shoo-in for the win. Democrats haven't won a state-wide office in Texas since George W's first year as governor in 1995.

"Mein Gott en Himmel!" exclaimed German Chancellor Angela Merkel. "What I mean, of course, is that the nation of Germany is happy for Herr Bush. I will be sure to discuss the ramifications of his ascendancy with my inner circle, but luckily I will be long gone by the time he gets to be president."

"Wait a minute," gasped Britain's David Cameron in response to the news of George P's win. "I thought you blokes didn't go for royal succession and dedicated blood lines and all that rot."

When approached by the foreign press for reaction, Francois Hollande was dismissive of the situation.

"Mon deux! Why the American people would embrace another Bush, we have no idea," sniffed Hollande. "We in France would rather our leaders have their messy divorces on their front pages rather than messy wars."

Vladimir Putin reacted with little concern to the news that another Bush had begun his political journey.

"By the time Mr. Bush is in any position to have influence in world affairs, we will have already taken over," Putin declared. "First Ukraine, then the rest of the world! But we don't want Afghanistan."
